You book a 30-minute Zoom with a senior Carti engineer (Rahul, Anjali, David, Meera, or Jacob — whoever has the right specialty for your situation). We screen-share your store live, walk through what's working and what isn't, and you ask whatever questions you want. You leave the call with a clear answer to one question: is this the kind of work we can help with? Sometimes the answer is no.

48-hour proposal

If we both decide there's a fit, we send a written proposal within 48 hours of the audit call. Industry standard is 2 weeks. We do it in 48 hours because we've scoped this kind of work hundreds of times. The proposal is concrete: fixed scope written as a checklist of deliverables, fixed price, fixed end date.

Day 1 → Day 3

Build, demo, repeat

After contract signature, we kick off within 5 business days. Slack channel opens. Staging environment provisioned. Repository created (you get GitHub access from day one). Every week looks the same: Monday standup, daily Slack updates, Thursday demo, Friday optional async retro. Every PR reviewed by a second senior engineer before merging.

Week 1 → Launch

Launch day

Launch is anticlimactic. DNS cutover takes about 5 minutes. The work happens in the days before launch — final QA, redirect verification, payment processor testing, and Search Console submission. We schedule launch for the lowest-traffic window. One engineer + the PM are on Slack for 6 hours post-launch.

30 days of post-launch

Most agencies disappear after launch. We stay for 30 days, included in every fixed-scope project. The first 7 days are heavy monitoring + small fixes. Days 8–30 are optimization — A/B testing, speed tuning, conversion improvements. You also get a written post-launch report at day 30.

Hourly billing

Every engagement is fixed scope, fixed price. If you specifically want hourly billing with detailed time sheets, we're not a fit.

Same-day starts

We're booked 2-6 weeks out. If you need someone starting tomorrow, we'll refer you to peers we trust.

Junior developers on your project

If you're budget-constrained and need lower hourly rates, we're not the cheapest option. Senior-only is our positioning, not a marketing line.

WordPress, Magento, BigCommerce, or any other platform

We migrate to Shopify from those. We don't build on them.

Marketing services

No paid ads, no content writing, no SEO link building. We do technical SEO (Web Vitals, schema, site structure) — the rest needs a content agency.

Logo design or brand identity

We work from your existing brand guidelines. If you need brand design first, we partner with brand studios we trust and can refer.

Endless rounds of revisions

Two rounds of feedback included on every deliverable. Beyond that, scope creep gets billed as a new project.
